MOSKAU, 04. Februar (RIA Novosti). Im Falle der einseitigen Unabhängigkeit der serbischen Provinz Kosovo wird Russland laut dem Chef des Auswärtigen Duma-Ausschusses Konstantin Kossatschow seine Politik gegenüber den abtrünnigen Regionen im postsowjetischen Raum revidieren, denen Moskau bislang die Anerkennung verweigert.

Nach seinen Worten ist der Separatismus im Kosovo weniger von internen Faktoren, sondern vielmehr von auswärtigen hervorgerufen worden. Hätten die westlichen Staaten und vor allem die USA den Kosovo-Separatismus nicht so konsequent unterstützt, dann hätte die Region keine Chancen auf Unabhängigkeit, urteilte Kossatschow.

Mängel im Strafjustizsystem;

Häusliche Gewalt und andere Menschenrechtsverletzungen gegn Frauen;

Gewalt gegen ethnische Minderheiten;

Fehlende Möglichkeit der sicheren Rückkehr für Flüchtlinge und Vertriebene;

Notlage der Roma, Aschkali und Kosovo-Ägypter;

Ungenügende Kontrolle internationaler Institutionen;

Mangelnde Aussöhnung zwischen ethnischen Gruppen.

Është ironi skandaloze që Vulchanov vjen në shkurt 2008 me një mision faktmbledhës, për të marrë mendimet e palëve gjoja nga pozicioni i të paanshmit, kur Vulchanov në tetor të vitit të kaluar ka qenë pjesë e një projekti të Fondacionit “Soros” për reformën zgjedhore

Albania’s Berisha warns Kosovo not to declare independence unilaterally

TIRANA, Albania – Prime Minister Sali Berisha said on Saturday (September 29th) that a unilateral proclamation of independence by Kosovo Albanians – without approval by the international community – would be unproductive. It was the first time the Albanian government, a staunch supporter of independence for Kosovo, has come out against a self-proclamation. At the same time, Berisha acknowledged the chances of a new UN Security Council resolution on Kosovo are slim, due to Russia’s opposition. Topi says Albania will not be first to recognise potentially independent Kosovo

TIRANA, Albania -- President Bamir Topi said on Thursday (November 1st) that Albania will not be the first country to recognise Kosovo's independence if the province unilaterally declares it after negotiations on final status end next month. Topi added that he doubts all EU-member states would recognise Kosovo, and said Albania would support any status definition backed by the international community.

In other news Thursday, Kosovo negotiating team member Veton Surroi predicted the province would gain independence within the next 100 days. "We are tired of negotiations … by Christmas our parliament should make a decision on a date for independence," Surroi told a forum in Berlin titled "Crisis of Governance" and organised by the German intelligence services.
